6 Months Old

6-2-08

Wow how time has flown by .. Hard to believe  Cody is now 6 months old..

The Good news is a date is set for 7-8-08 for Cody to come home!!! The P.S.A. nursing agency  is looking for nurse's

to take care of Cody once he is home.. We will have Nursing 8 hours during the day. Then a nurse for 8 hour's  at night while we are sleeping.

We will keep everyone up to date on how everything is looking for his discharge..

(( He will have nursing  while he has his trach, that can be any where from 1 -3 years.. since the trach is his life-line))

Cody's checks are red from the tape. ((His NG tube having to be moved weekly from one side to the other))

It's funny every time we take pictures his eyes get bigger and bigger..

(His bib say's ...... Spit  Happens)

Speech therapy:

Cody has come such a long way  in Speech therapy. The goal  is for him to allow things to be

put in his mouth.

( babies' who have been on the ventilator tend to not want nothing in there mouths.)

He does not like the pacifier one bit, and this also means the bottle. So we are going to be starting to let him try a Sippy cup,

( nothing in it ) just for him to get use to it, So when he is ready to come off the NG tube he can just use the Sippy cup.

He loves his spoon!!!

((Thank you Jamie so much for all the help and love you have givin to Cody ))

Cody love's his spoon, as you can see Jamie

has him holding it to his mouth by him self...

peak a boo

Cody in his stroller, got to go around the hospital for a little while, and he did not know what to think.

((Making him portable with his ventilator))

He was half a sleep when we put him in his stroller

look at his eye brows, He was looking at everything..

still no idea on what to think of being out of his room

He had so much fun looking around. He did not even look at the camera much

You could see he was not happy once he seen his room..

We are going to be  taking a lot of walks, when we go see him
