Well first things first...you and your husband did an
OUTSTANDING JOB MAKING THIS LITTLE GUY.... He is so cute...and he is a

guy...So you know that he will come out being one of the
healthiest kids around. .because he knows he is truly loved...by great
parents and grandparents..
I'm sorry he has gone throu so much stuff but this some how
will make him so strong...he is a fighter and he will do his little best to
come home really soon
to you and yours....And if things get a little ruff for you
let your mom know...she's is there for you and him...just ask...I don't know
of any grandmother who

Great news is right. So glad he made it to the 9th floor. He is getting so
big!!! I can't believe what a horrifying experience you had with the trach.
It goes to show that parents know what's best. You have to feel good
knowing that you and Sherdell didn't panic and Sherdell knew what the
problem was. It's probably for the best something like that happened so you
would know how to take care of it once he is home.

feeling better now too…the physical and emotional toll that having a child with

Keep your head up. Cody is a very lucky little boy to have such a
wonderful and devoted mother. I can only imagine how hard it is to go
home at night but just think in a very short time Cody will be home with

By the way, don't be too discouraged about the transition to the home
vent. Sometimes when they are placed on a new vent they have to get use
to it. It might take some time, don't' rush going to the 9th floor
until he is completely fine on the home vent. We rushed it and ended up
in the PICU for even longer. He just needs to grow and get strong - he
looks so good in his pictures!

Sounds like great news with Cody’s progress. Although there is a lot to
learn on how to take care of him at home it will all be worth it when you
